cannot log on

i am also experiencing the same issues. before the upgrade i was able to broadcast fine with both edcast and simplecast. i have already switched my settings from vorbis to lamemp3 and switched my mount from listen.ogg to listen.mp3 i even downloaded mixxx and input the settings there and i get mixxx could not connect to the streaming server Please check your connection to the Internet and verify that your username and password are correct. i cant even access www.caster.fm from my computer at home it keeps on saying internet explorer cannot display the webpage i ran a diagnostics test on my network and it told me Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (www.caster.fm) is not responding. so i had to go somewhere else just to access this forum. before the upgrade i was able to do everything. can you please assist me because i thought it was my network however i cant even broadcast from right here where i'm at now i keep getting the message connecting, then disconnect attempting to reconnect.

every website i check is acessible except caster.fm i have already checked my modem to make sure caster was not blocked and it is not on the blocked list.

you need to broadcast at MP3 encoding rather then Ogg

Same traktor, same settings, was ogg before... can't select mp3 from direct broadcast out of traktor pro, My question is why did it worked before the update?

Because now caster support MP3 streams only, and not Ogg vorbis like before the upgrade...

it worked before the update because they was using vorbis.ogg before the update now they have switched to lame.mp3 you need to check tracktor's website for a lame.mp3 plugin since that is the format that Caster is using now. check out this guide and see if this will work for you.

Tried it, I can get connection and mp3 now with that streamTranscoderUIv3 but the connection between Icecast2 and traktor is unstable, I get the /traktor.ogg in Icecast, but the broadcastbutton in traktor keeps flashing and the connection drops about every 5 sec.... caster, also @admins I used to click a button to broadcast, now I have to install 2 or more programs configure alot of stuff and even then, still can't get it online... after an update, it's sad because I found caster a good thing, but this is just extremely disapointing.

Oh ok you're lucky to be able to connect. I still can't get a connection and I have tried edcast simplecast mixxx winamp dsp and virtual DJ. I can access the forum just fine however I have no access to the main page for caster. I always get a timed out connection

1.After u login on Caster.fm u must download edcast Stand-Alone. Here the link http://adf.ly/33Tx6 (skip the ads and download on mediafire)

2.Install the edcast stand alone..Then u must download the lame encorder at download section..


3.Copy all in Lame Encoder and paste into caster folder.



4.Open your edcast.Click on add encorder then at encorder setting right click and choose configure


5.Configure your edcast like picture below..(DOnt forget to Start Your Server first at control panel on caster.fm.
